2022 SCHEDULES:

 

2022 WORKSHOPS INFORMATION:

  • Registration will open at 9:00 AM ET on Wednesday, November 17th at www.usga.org/rules.
  • Registrants will have numerous workshop options, which have been detailed below. These include in-person PGA/USGA Workshops, online USGA Virtual Workshops, and online Introductory Workshops. 
  • COVID-19 POLICY
    • For all in-person workshops and exams, attendees will be required to wear a mask at all times (except while actively eating or drinking) while in the classroom and in communal areas of the site where you cannot socially distance.
    • For all in-person sites (except Dallas, TX) – All attendees will be required to show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 to be admitted to the classroom. This means that 14 days must have passed since your final shot (1st dose for J&J and 2nd dose for Moderna or Pfizer). Proof of vaccination must be physically shown prior to entering the classroom on the first day of the workshop. You must show either your vaccine card, passport, certification, or a photo of such proof, which must include your name, date of birth, vaccine type, and vaccine dose(s) and dates administered, along with a current photo ID. 
      • For Dallas, TX ONLY – All attendees will be required to show proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test taken on or after 2/8/2022 to be admitted. However, you may show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 which will exempt you from this testing requirement.  If you wish to be exempt from testing requirement and show proof of vaccination, you must show either your vaccine card, passport, certification, or a photo of such proof, which must include your name, date of birth, vaccine type, and vaccine dose(s) and dates administered, along with a current photo ID.  
    • Registration will open for all sites at full capacity, but we reserve the right to decrease capacity at any or all workshop sites as needed to ensure the safety of attendees and staff.  We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel any in-person workshop or exam for any reason, including but not limited to, health and safety concerns related to COVID-19. Any session cancellations or capacity reductions which may require cancellation of your in-person registration will result in a full refund (or placing you in another equivalent workshop of your choice).
    • We reserve the right to make changes to this COVID-19 Policy at any time, including requiring additional protocols in order to attend any in-person session, as necessary to comply with any applicable federal, state or local law, order, regulation or recommendation, or as determined in the sole discretion of the USGA.
    • THIS COVID-19 POLICY APPLIES ONLY TO IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS AND IN-PERSON EXAMS, AND DOES NOT APPLY TO VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS OR EXAMS. 
       
  • PGA/USGA Rules Workshops (In-Person):
    • In order to attend an in-person workshop, you must follow and comply with the COVID-19 POLICY. See above for details of the Policy.
    • The schedule for our 12 in-person PGA/USGA Workshops (including instructors and coordinators) has been released and is available here
    • Due to scheduling issues, the Tampa, FL workshop (included on the initial released schedule) has been canceled and we do not currently plan to add a Florida workshop at any point this season.
    • The fee for the in-person PGA/USGA Workshops will be $500 and will include the three-day workshop (with daily breakfast), access to either the 100-Question or 80-Question Exam on the morning of the fourth day (or online on a date you select from the exam schedule), access to the Virtual Rules School video recordings (provided by 12/15/2021 and running through end of April), and access to live Night School sessions throughout the workshop season.
       
  • USGA Virtual Workshops:
    • Five USGA Virtual Workshops are planned and the schedule, including instructors, is available here.
    • The fee for Virtual Workshops will be $375 and will include access to the Virtual Rules School video recordings (provided by 12/15/2021 and running through end of April), two-hour daily webinars during your Monday-to-Friday active week, access to either the 100-Question or 80-Question Exam (either online on a date you select from the exam schedule or in-person on the morning of the 4th day at a PGA/USGA Workshop site), and access to live Night School sessions throughout the workshop season.
       
  • USGA Introductory Workshops:
    • Introductory-level workshops (for casual/avid golfers and all non-Rules experts) will be offered once per month throughout the calendar year. The schedule is available here.
    • The fee will be $25 and will include approximately 4 hours of on-demand video recordings and two one-hour webinars with your instructors on your selected dates.
       
  • Rules Exam Only:
    • In order to attend an in-person exam, you must follow and comply with the COVID-19 POLICY. See above for details of the Policy.
    • As in past years, you will be able to register for Exam Only, without attending an in-person or virtual workshop.
    • You can choose to take the exam in-person at one of our PGA/USGA Workshop sites (subject to the COVID-19 Policy), or you can take it through our online exam platform on selected dates.
    • The fee for the 100-Question Exam is $150 and for the 80-Question Exam is $100.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Since 1975, the United States Golf Association and The PGA of America, working together to support the best interests of the game, have offered to the public a series of workshops on the Rules of Golf. These workshops are open to the public and bring together several of the foremost Rules of Golf educators in the game, with the goal of making the Rules accessible to anyone who wishes to learn more about them or sharpen their existing knowledge.
